I keep saying I'm not autobuying any more of these and I keep doing it。 But it's a plant-man, y'all! This installment in the PMA series starts the same with intensely boring world building and canned dialogue。 But the connection between the people and the land was pretty cool。 And I can really get behind a tree taking up the shitty part of gestation。 Who needs a ruined abdomen, hemmorhoids and back pain? The romance was insta-lust and lackluster。 But we got to see Cedric again, so plus there。 I keep saying I'm not autobuying any more of these and I keep doing it。 But it's a plant-man, y'all! This installment in the PMA series starts the same with intensely boring world building and canned dialogue。 But the connection between the people and the land was pretty cool。 And I can really get behind a tree taking up the shitty part of gestation。 Who needs a ruined abdomen, hemmorhoids and back pain? Because I wanna' read how horrified his soulmate his, and how she deals with that。 Because yeah, that's a best teller, RIGHT THERE。 Anywho。 Four stars because I feel like a lot of this book was additive storyline possibilities that I felt subtracted from the core story。 Some is exceptional, some more is great, but this book kinda' crossed the invisible line as far as info dumping。 Otherwise I'M READY。 STRAP ME IN FUR' THE NEXT JUAAANNNN。 。。。more

Loved it!Wow! This was probably my favorite so far in the PMA series! I loved Maeve and Helio! This was such an awesome story, and I loved the fact that these two were a chosen partnership rather than a PMA partnership。 These two were so perfect together, and I absolutely loved their story!

When I read my first book of this series in 2021 I came to the decision that if ever there was a series where I could read every book and never get enough of the universe it’s this one。 Every book is so incredible and somehow so completely original。 Considering this series is intergalactic and every book has new planets, culture and creatures, the skill at building these are amazing。 I cannot recommend this entire series enough。 Every book is amazing and I eagerly await more and hope the source When I read my first book of this series in 2021 I came to the decision that if ever there was a series where I could read every book and never get enough of the universe it’s this one。 Every book is so incredible and somehow so completely original。 Considering this series is intergalactic and every book has new planets, culture and creatures, the skill at building these are amazing。 I cannot recommend this entire series enough。 Every book is amazing and I eagerly await more and hope the source of this genius doesn’t end。 Happy reading!🥰 。。。more

my least favorite in the seriesI LOVE her series。 The problem is I did not love this book。 It wasn’t a terrible book。 I just wasn’t excited about any of it。 Even within it it just never grabbed me and made enjoy the characters。 I just was like meh okay is it over yet? And honestly it could be my mood but I just didn’t dig this book in comparison to her other ones。 This isn’t the best in the series and that’s okay。 It’s not bad so it is worth a read。

Helio is a strong and unusual Edocit, with some unique talents。 Maeve is his perfect match, her skill set compliments his own, while his free-thinking persona is exactly what she needs。I love how thrilled Maeve is to learn more about the Edocit world, and their culture, and I truly loved the imagination Regine Abel used to come up with such a lovely world (even if it is a little “Australia in space”-ish!)。Also- that image of Myma at the end is lovely and deserves a mention too。This is a truly delightful tale, featuring soulmates, a human-alien pairing, and some fun glimpses of characters from previous books (both main characters and some of the side ones)。 It’s a feel-good read, and an enjoyable romance。 There are a couple of sexy scenes, and a few action ones, but in the end, this is another fantastic book in a very enjoyable sci-fi romance series。I recommend this one for the SFR fans who enjoy alien heroes, and for anyone who has enjoyed the rest of this series- this one was a great one。 。。。more

This was a little different to the other books in the series and it didn’t feel as authentic。 There’s something about Maeve that’s very annoying lol。 I don’t know if it’s her Uber independence or her lack of self introspection…but there’s a reason some of her previous partners didn’t work out and it’s not just because of them。 I loved Helio。 He was selfless and kind and honest。 He was really a character of virtue。 The relationship progressed fine but I also just felt something was missing betwee This was a little different to the other books in the series and it didn’t feel as authentic。 There’s something about Maeve that’s very annoying lol。 I don’t know if it’s her Uber independence or her lack of self introspection…but there’s a reason some of her previous partners didn’t work out and it’s not just because of them。 I loved Helio。 He was selfless and kind and honest。 He was really a character of virtue。 The relationship progressed fine but I also just felt something was missing between the couple。 The writing was a little bland…more telling instead of showing? DNF @37%。 Bummer。 This was a total miss for me。 After 37% all there has really been is world building and mostly insta-love。 I’m not invested and don’t think I’ll become so at this point。 Also every line of dialog feels cliche and the exclamation marks are getting to me。

I loved that nature played such a major part。 I’m also quite jealous of the housing, I mean who wouldn’t want to have a waterfall as their shower? Without a doubt, the best setting in this series, I don’t even think another setting could top it。 I can’t wait to read more from Regine Abel! Her characters always feel like fast friends and her stories are so different than what I normally read but that’s what I love so much about them。 My complaint with this book is that it could’ve been just a little longer。 I really wanted to see Helio’s family dynamics and customs, especially since they seemed so close。 I thought it was a little strange they didn’t show up until the end, which was too brief of an encounter。 。。。more

What a fascinating world! How wonderful it would be if we were as in tune with our world as the Edocit people are with theirs。 Once again, Kayog has made a perfect match。 Maeve and Helio are both involved in careers where they hunt down criminals who prey on the innocent。 I love how quickly they bond with each other。 Theirs is a delightful romance, with an awesome adventure at the core of it。 It has everything I hope for in fine sci-fi romance story。
